We aim to focus on balancing sustainable outdoor recreation, conservation of natural resources, and economic development opportunities in and around Dolores and Montezuma Counties, as well as the greater Southwest Colorado Region

Conservation and Stewardship

Implementing policies and practices that protect and restore natural habitats, watersheds, and ecosystems of Montezuma and Dolores Counties and the surrounding region, ensuring their resilience and sustainability for future generations

Sustainable Agriculture

Supporting farming and ranching practices that prioritize soil health, water conservation, biodiversity, and wildlife habitat preservation, while also fostering economic viability for agriculture producers

Inclusive Outdoor Recreation

Investing in infrastructure and programs that enhance access to outdoor recreational opportunities for people of all backgrounds and abilities, including trails, parks, and facilities that are welcoming and accessible to everyone

Hunting and Angling opportunities

Managing wildlife populations and habitats sustainably to support diverse hunting and fishing experiences, while also promoting ethical and responsible outdoor recreation practices

Economic opportunity

Creating an ecosystem of outdoor industry related businesses and jobs that support a local workforce and infuse tax dollars back into our local communities

Cultural sites and heritage

By prioritizing these initiatives and fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, we can create a thriving Colorado where both people and nature flourish
