January 27 - Roundtable Meeting
The Montelores Coalition Roundtable recently met to review public comments and feedback received on the Draft Outdoor Recreation and Conservation Plan. Following public meetings and the online comment period, the Roundtable worked through the community’s input.
Roundtable members represented a range of perspectives and user groups, bringing thoughtful discussion to each topic area. The focus of the meeting was to carefully review what we heard, identify themes, and determine where revisions or additional exploration are needed.
During the meeting, the Roundtable:
• Reviewed a summary of public comments and key themes across all five plan topics
• Discussed areas where there was strong agreement as well as areas where opinions were mixed
• Identified specific language edits and clarifications needed in the draft
• Brainstormed adjustments to better reflect community priorities
• Discussed topics that may require additional data or future engagement
The Roundtable also identified future action steps that include gauging community support, gathering additional data, or further exploring ideas before advancing major initiatives.
This meeting represents an important step in finalizing the current draft plan. The full plan will be formally revisited and updated every five years, while the action plan will be reviewed and updated annually to reflect progress, priorities, and changing conditions.
The goal remains the same: to ensure the Outdoor Recreation and Conservation Plan reflects community voices while providing a clear, practical path forward.
